Discover with Victor - Self Driving Experience 25KM

¿Qué harás?

Welcome to the adventure designed for anyone who wants to connect with sled dogs and experience their lifestyle!

From the moment you arrive to the kennel there will never be a rush to get in and out, or other tour groups passing through. With a maximum of 6-8 people, the tour will be mixture of heart racing excitement, relaxing calm, beautiful landscapes, and of course time spent playing and petting with the dogs.

Experience

Victor, Greta and the team will welcome you to the tour and be excited to show you how to drive the sled yourselves! We will personally explain how to drive a dogsled safely so you can have proper fun! Because of that, you won't be needing previous experience for this tour.

After safety instructions we will go and get you onto a sled full of excited dogs that will pull you for 25KM in a 12-16km/h average speed! While driving through amazing landscapes full of forests, rivers, lakes and swamps we will have a break on the halfway to do some pictures on the sled and changes of drivers (so everyone who can drive gets a turn if they wish.) The ride will last about 90 minutes.

The Dogs

We have about 20+ huskies ready to join for the adventure.Their energy, happiness and teamwork are something that you will feel as soon as you start driving. How do we know they like it? Well, as soon as they are put on the line of your sled, they will start barking, jumping and just wanting to go!

After the ride

Once we are back, we will release the dogs in the play area and spend lots of time with them without rush! There you will see where the dogs live, witness how they play with one another, and learn why socialization is incredibly important for sled dogs.

After taking many selfies, we will go warm up by the fire in our traditional Finnish kota (hut) to enjoy some homemade snacks prepared by Greta and Victor. To improve the flavor, we will explain everything about the dogs and how hard the life of a musher can be, and answer any questions you may have about, well, anything!

Who can do this?

Victor's Adventure 25KM is perfect for guests that want a really special experience, with personal time with the dogs and the people behind Empyrean. Suitable for friends and couples, the only requirement to join is to be at least 10 years old and to have one adult per sled capable to drive! (Our sleds are for maximum 2 adults)

In the case of wanting to be driven by a professional then we offer "Greta's Journey 6KM".

This is not just a tour to fill your time while in Levi. This is an experience where you will get to really connect with the dogs, learn how to build trust with them, and see just how important their care is and how genuine our love towards them is.

Because everything was made from our hearts, and Empyrean Husky is "Where Dogs Truly Matter"

Frequently asked questions

During the season 2026/2027, we charge an extra fee of 10 euros per person.

Self driving tours are driven by your self, we will explain you how to drive, set the team for you and let you drive on our tracks. Self driving seems really complicated but with our easy trails the only thing you have to do is to control the speed by pressing partially the break (Like going downhill with a vehicle).

Musher-driven tours are driven by us, we will take full control of the sled and let you sit down and relax. We will have more dogs and have more speed as we have a better control.

You don’t need experience but you need to feel okay with your body so you have good balance and control over your movements.

You need to be able to balance while you have one foot on the break and the understanding of our rules that we will explain before driving.

We always recommend to wear as many layers as you need plus one extra layer (If you are really sensitive to the extra heat, you can carry it in a backpack the extra layer). It is always better to remove a layer than to feel so cold that there is nothing that can warm you up.

We offer overalls in some of our tours but if you don’t have anything under, it won’t help as much.

In the beginning of the tour, there isn’t much time as we have to explain the instructions and dogs are really excited to start so they are not happy to wait for too long. We will help you in the halfway of the trail to take your phone and take a picture of you*.

Then after the drive part, we will have plenty of time to take pictures of the surroundings and the dogs!

*Passengers can take pictures and videos while the driven part, drivers are not allowed to take their hands of the handle bar.

If they want, you are more than welcome to pet them after the ride. Same as us, sometimes dogs are having rough days and they might not want so much or any petting at all. (Bad night, eating something funny, disagreement with the neighbors, etc)

We don’t force the dogs to pose for our guests but we invite them to join us.

We would love that everyone sees our kennel and let you be with our dogs but even the dogs they need their own free time without social interaction or “work” as the physical rest is important the mental rest is essential for their welfare.
